Project Description

This carved post and panel sign is for Canaltown Community Church in the town of Palmyra. Located on the corner of Main St, this historic church was in need of some new signage to stand out. Previously the church was using an old pallet as a sign, and decided to upgrade. We designed a unique sign with multiple elements to contrast each other. The first element is V-carved lettering with a border. The church was very interested in incorporating a bridge similar to the ones found along the Erie Canal, which we made come to life with a custom ½” dimensional painted piece! This bridge piece was stud mounted to the foam material to add even more depth to the sign. The final element to this sign was the gold leafed cross representing the “t” in community. A nice touch that references the crucifix and brings the idea of the church into the sign. Truly a one of a kind sign!
